Together, we recap events leading up President Donald Trump’s sending in the National Guard in Los Angeles, against Gov. Gavin Newsom’s orders, and the aftermath of that decision thus far. This episode was recorded on “No Kings Day,” as massive protests took place across the country. In Atlanta, protesters in Doraville were tear-gassed and detained, with reports saying at least 30 people were arrested by police. Two of them, according to locals, were arrested for wearing face coverings.
