Today, Mainline’s founding editor was invited to speak about ‘The Process is the Punishment,’ and dig into the ongoing Cop City RICO cases. Listen to the clip here.
Today, Mainline’s founding editor, Aja Arnold, was invited to speak with Ariele Boone of the Berkeley-based show “Upfront” to discuss our recent podcast series, ‘The Process is the Punishment,’ and important elements of the Cop City RICO cases and the widespread resistance movement against Cop City.
We’ve clipped the 15-minute segment of today’s show, which aired on KPFA in California. The full episode from KPFA today can also be found online here.
Listen in to the audio above for the interview with “Upfront” host Ariele Boone—and stay tuned from more from us, including a new podcast episode this week. (We were going to publish this week, but postponed due to snow/icy conditions and a couple people of our team not feeling so hot.)
Our episode next week will discuss Tortuguita’s day of remembrance / “angelversary” on Sat., Jan. 18, as well as the recent bulldozing of an encampment near Ebenezer Church on Fri., Jan. 17. The sweep killed one person known as “Psycho” by loved ones. They were killed by the city’s bulldozer while asleep in their tent while the city swept encampments near Ebenezer Church to prepare for Martin Luther King Day celebrations.
This upcoming episode will feature Aja and returning co-host Lindsay Thomaston, along with a local source who knew both Tortuguita and Psycho, to illuminate the very important connections between Tort, Psycho, and Martin Luther King, Jr.
Until then,
Mainline
